PRIVACY

Simple product.
Simple data use.

How PlateLuck uses browser location, local storage, OpenStreetMap services and Google advertising code.

Location

When you request a nearby spin, your browser may ask for permission to access your current location. PlateLuck uses those coordinates to request nearby eatery data. PlateLuck does not request background location. If you enter a city or postal code instead, the query is sent to an OpenStreetMap geocoding service and the result may be cached in your browser.

Local browser storage

Radius, cuisine, Smart Pick preferences, Saved Bites, recent picks and some nearby search results may be stored locally in your browser. This allows repeat use without a PlateLuck account.

Restaurant hours

When map data includes an opening-hours value, PlateLuck may use a browser-side parser to interpret whether the place appears open. Hours can be incomplete or outdated, so confirm directly when timing matters.

Advertising

PlateLuck includes Google AdSense site code while the site is being reviewed/prepared for Google advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies when ads or measurement are active, subject to Google policies, consent requirements and your browser choices. PlateLuck does not currently create a server-side personal profile for the restaurant picker.

Analytics and changes

The app exposes privacy-conscious event hooks that deliberately omit precise coordinates and manual location text. If analytics, advertising or account features materially change, this notice should be updated.

Food Holiday Deal Radar

When you use Deal Radar, PlateLuck may send a food-holiday search topic and a city/region label to a serverless function that looks for current public deal reports. Deal cards link to third-party sources. PlateLuck does not guarantee that a promotion is still active or available at every location.
